Social media marketing, Mumbai

A social media marketing agency in Mumbai that counts enquiries, not followers

Strategy, a monthly calendar, the content itself, the replies underneath it and a report that says what any of it was worth. Troika Tech has been doing this for Indian businesses since 2012, from Mira Road East.

What you get

Eight things in a social media retainer

Not every account needs all eight. The quote says which you are buying, so you can compare it against anyone else's.

Strategy and positioning

Who we are talking to, what we want them to think, and which platform is doing which job. Written down once, revisited quarterly.

Monthly content calendar

The month planned and approved before it runs, so you see what is going out rather than finding out afterwards.

Creative and copy

Static posts, carousels, captions and hooks, written in the language the audience actually uses rather than translated after the fact.

Reels and short video

Scripted, shot and edited for sound-off viewing, because most of the reach now comes from video and most video is watched silently.

Shoot planning

Shot lists, props, location and scheduling, so a day of shooting produces a month of content instead of four posts.

Community management

Comments and DMs answered inside business hours. Most enquiries now arrive in a DM, and an unanswered one is a lost sale.

Paid social alignment

The posts that earn attention organically are the ones worth putting budget behind. We find them rather than guessing.

Monthly reporting

Enquiries, where they came from and what they cost. Reach is in there, but it is not the headline.

Platforms

Give each platform a job, or it will do none

Posting the same thing to four platforms is the most common and most expensive mistake in Mumbai social media. Each one rewards something different.

Instagram

Reach and recognition. Reels carry discovery, carousels carry the explaining, stories carry the day-to-day. For consumer and retail businesses this is usually where a stranger first meets the brand, so it is made for a cold audience watching without sound.

LinkedIn

Credibility and hiring. Posts from a named person consistently outperform the company page, so we write for the founder or the expert rather than the logo. For B2B and professional services this is where the enquiries that actually close tend to begin.

Facebook

Still the broadest reach in India and still where local community, groups and older audiences live. Underrated for real estate, education and anything with a catchment area.

YouTube and Shorts

The long tail. A video answering a real customer question keeps earning for years, which no feed post does. Shorts feed the top of the funnel, long form does the convincing.

We write and shoot in Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati and English, including the mix of two that most Mumbai customers actually speak. Subtitling English content afterwards is not the same thing and it does not perform the same way.

How it runs

A month, start to finish

The same four beats every month. You are involved in two of them.

01

Plan

We build next month's calendar against what last month's numbers showed. You see it as a single document and approve it once, rather than post by post.

02

Produce

Copy written, designs made, video shot and edited. Anything needing your product, your premises or your people is scheduled early so it does not hold the month up.

03

Publish and reply

Scheduled at the times your audience is actually awake, then watched. Comments and DMs answered the same day, and genuine enquiries passed to you immediately rather than in a weekly summary.

04

Report and adjust

What was published, what it reached, what it earned, and what we are changing. If a format is not working we say so and stop making it.

Scope

What we do, and what stays with you

Social retainers go wrong when nobody can say who owns which part. This is the split.

We do

  • Strategy, calendar and approvals
  • Copy, design, video and editing
  • Scheduling and publishing
  • Comments and DMs in business hours
  • The monthly report and the conversation about it

You do

  • Approve the month, once
  • Give us access to product, premises or people when a shoot needs them
  • Answer the enquiries we pass over, quickly
  • Tell us when something changes in the business before we find out from a customer

Pricing

What social media costs in Mumbai

Published Mumbai rates, so you can sense-check any quote including ours. Scope drives the number more than anything else — reels and shoots cost more than static posts, and always will.

Starter₹15,000 – ₹30,000 a monthOne or two platforms, static and carousel content
Standard₹30,000 – ₹50,000Adds regular reels and community management
Full service₹50,000 – ₹4,00,000Shoots, video production, influencers, reporting
ProjectFrom ₹75,000A single campaign with a fixed scope and end date

Inside the fee

  • Strategy, calendar and approvals
  • Copy, design and editing
  • Scheduling, publishing and replies
  • The monthly report

Billed separately

  • Advertising spend, which goes to Meta, not to us
  • Shoots, studio hire, talent and travel
  • Influencer and creator fees
  • 18% GST

Ranges are drawn from published Mumbai agency rate cards and directory listings, checked October 2026. Media budget commonly runs three to five times the agency fee, so any proposal that does not separate fee from spend cannot be compared with one that does.

FAQs

Social media marketing in Mumbai: common questions

How much does a social media marketing agency in Mumbai charge?

Published Mumbai rates put basic management at roughly ₹15,000 to ₹30,000 a month for one or two platforms, ₹30,000 to ₹50,000 once regular reels and community management are included, and ₹50,000 to ₹4,00,000 for full service with shoots and video production. Project work typically starts around ₹75,000. Advertising spend and 18% GST sit on top.

How many posts a month should I expect?

Ask, because it varies enormously and it is the easiest thing for an agency to be vague about. More useful than a post count is the mix: how many reels, how many carousels, how many need a shoot. Twelve well-made posts beat thirty recycled ones, and the agencies quoting the highest volumes are usually quoting the lowest effort.

Is ad spend included?

No, and this is the most common reason two quotes look different when they are not. The fee pays for the work; money spent on Meta is yours and is billed by Meta. Media budget commonly runs three to five times the fee, so get both separated in writing.

Do you shoot the content or do I supply it?

Either. We plan and run shoots when the content needs them, and we work with what you already have when it is good enough. What we will not do is quietly pad a calendar with stock images and call it a content plan.

How long before it works?

Three to six months before organic social builds a real audience, because the platform has to learn who your content suits. Paid social moves in weeks. Anyone promising a transformation in a month is selling you follower growth, which is not the same thing as business.

Can you post in Hindi and Marathi?

Yes, and in Gujarati. For most Mumbai audiences the content that performs is not in formal English. We write in the language the customer actually uses and shoot with that in mind, rather than subtitling English content afterwards.

Who owns the accounts and the content?

You do. Pages, ad accounts and everything we produce are set up in your name and stay with you if we stop working together.

Do you handle comments and DMs?

Yes, within business hours, and this matters more than most people expect. A large share of enquiries now arrive as a DM, and an unanswered one is simply a lost sale. Anything that looks like a real enquiry goes to you straight away rather than waiting for a weekly summary.

What if we need to change direction mid-month?

Tell us and we change it. The calendar is a plan, not a contract. What costs money is reshooting finished video, so the earlier a change lands, the cheaper it is.

Do you work with influencers?

Where it fits the brief. Influencer fees are billed separately from the retainer and should always be judged on enquiries rather than follower counts, which are the easiest number in marketing to inflate.
